Add a CommentA good spy thriller. It gave away some of the plot, but held back some important details that keeps you guessing
Reminded me a bit of Kevin Costner's early big hit NO WAY OUT, with a similar double-agent theme, but without Costner's credibility. Unfortunately, Richard Gere's lost that testosterone intensity he had in many of his previous movies that made him so popular with both male and female audiences, and doesn't come-off believable here. I just can't buy what the movie's plot demands of its audience - where Gere's character is concerned - anymore than what it asks of us in its unsubstantiated ending.
Awesome movie!
Fair - The Double (2011) 98 min. Forgettable action film starring Richard Gere has too many plot holes to make this a fun film to watch. In hindsight, this film makes very little sense to the point of asking oneself "who cares?" If the FBI are this clueless to those that they're investigating or working with, the US has a bigger problem.
