This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”

A very transparent yet dramatically complex film. Plenty of interrelationship drama that's a bit contrived but it does the job. Chock full of triumphant moments and good MMA action, this movie sucks you in despite knowing it's all a bit ridiculous. Even at a 2hr+ run time I really didn't mind spending the time watching it or being shamelessly manipulated. Just don't expect "Fighter" performances or screenplay and go with it.

I really enjoyed this film and recommend it to those that enjoy films about family relationship dynamics. Do not have to be a sports fan to enjoy the film.

Good drama of family love and forgiveness. A 140-minute long movie but well-worth the time to watch from beginning to end. The mixed martial arts tournament just adds more spices to the drama.

Loved the rage in the 'new' Tommy... I say 'new'... because film devotees of Nick Nolte - will remember that it was a similar angry-young-man-character named 'Tommy', that propelled him to stardom, in the made-for-tv mini-series "Rich Man, Poor Man", back in the 70's! I know that's dating both him and me to younger audiences... But when you see a masterpiece performance out of an actor, as this was was for young Tom Hardy in this film... and it's done in the glorious presence of a terrifically seasoned and Academy Award Nomination-bound actor like Nolte, who previously was equally memorable and magnificent in a similar role of the 'classic bad-ass'... you can't help but go down 'memory-lane', and say: "Bravo"... once again... for taking misplaced rage - and funneling it in such a way as to make for incredible drama! I know there are other interesting things to praise in this movie... but everything else all filters thru' that marvelous 'rage'!!!

For those expecting a one-dimensional, meathead sports film, expect to be surprised. Warrior is a refreshingly complex take on the often-attempted but rarely successful genre of the sports film. Perhaps the greatest reason is due to nuanced, yet stunningly vivid performances by the film's leads: Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, and a grizzled, but vulnerable Nick Nolte. The themes of anger, resentment, and forgiveness permeate the entire film, but overall steers clear of heavy-handed preachiness. It may all seem very opportunistic that the film capitalizes on the current MMA craze, but a great story is still a great story. Warrior is exactly that. Watch it. You will certainly not regret it.

First half of the movie takes a long time to set up the characters and their turmoils and dynamics. It also nearly put me to sleep. 2nd half, once the movie gets into the rink, was more exciting. But then it's also hard to believe the bro who finally won was really the best MMA fighter in that rink. Still, it's a good story with heart, and worth watching.

I balled my eyes out. Great acting by Nick, Joel and Tom. A great story of loyalty, honor and family.
