A comedy about that one family member who is always just a little bit behind the curve. For sisters Liz, Miranda, and Natalie, that person is their upbeat brother Ned, an organic farmer whose willingness to rely on honesty and trusting of humankind allows for a trouble-free existence. As mindless as slapstick comedies are I would have preferred that to this pretentious drivel. A total waste of actors I usually enjoy watching in a premise that screams privileged boredom. The biggest problem is that all of the characters are so enthralled by themselves that they are barely likable and I had a hard time caring about any of them.

I was also expecting more of a slapstick comedy, and was really pleasantly surprised by what it actually was. Great cast, and a pretty interesting look at how people in our society accepts and rewards dishonesty and cheating more than honesty and trust. With the exception of the opening scene where Ned sells pot to a police officer (in uniform), the majority of his idiocy is a result of his sisters' dishonesty blowing up in their faces due to his honesty. Great film.

I expected a completely different movie -- more slapstick and less heartwarming. Understated and charming performance from Rudd. The actors portraying his sisters did a great job of being clueless and callous which only made you root for him more.

Hardpressed to give it more than 1.5 star. Ok- 2 at the most. My daughter liked it more than me. It wasnt terrible-just not my kind of movie.

A good movie but, the only character that I liked was Paul Rudd's.

Great performances all around with a good script. Good humor and drama throughout, my only complaint is they screwed up the ending. If you watch the deleted scenes the ending is much more satisfying if you can imagine a combination of the endings. Understandably, it probably would have felt very drawn out if they had combined them.
