Jake Epping is a 35-year-old high school English teacher in Lisbon Falls, Maine, who makes extra money teaching adults in the GED program. Have you ever read a book, and are actually sad to have it end..this is one of those books...one of the best Stephen King books I have ever read..King creates a great story, filled with historical facts, nostaligic peeks into the late 50's and early 60's, and a compelling story line...what a fantastic book!!!!
I found it hard to pause the book because it was so good. The reader did an excellent job at accents and projecting personalities. I was 10 in 1958 where the "rabbit hole" took both Al and Jake and the book caught the time period very well. King also did a pretty good job on the early 1960's as well. It was long, but I think it's good to look back at the past from a reality point of view instead of from nastagia.
Very long, but oh so good!
