Add a CommentAt first I was a bit put off that it seemed like nothing was happening, but the more I read the more I got a sense of who the main character was and how I could relate to her in some ways. It was a great coming-of-age story with lots of complex characters with so much going on. Definitely became a great page turner.
This was such a great book. Every character in this book was really described well, all of the conflicts, etc, that made this story so interesting were well-written. The fact that the timeframe of this book (1960s) was long past made this book even a more enjoyable read. Parts of it were sad, parts were happy; this was a good book about relationships - both good and bad.
