i have enjoyed all the jodi picoult book that i have read so far. THese consist of: My sister's keeper, Perfect Match, Plain truth and nineteen minutes. THey are appropriate for teens as long as you have a fairly advanced reading level and a mature attitude.
An amazing book as long as you stick to it. This is not, in my opinion, one of the books that you can put down and pick up again a month later. Such a complex plot line with many dynamic characters. This book can really make you reflect a lot on your own life and relate many concepts. A great read!
too bad the OPL couldn't see their way to renewing my copy when there are plenty of copies to go around. Way to go, OPL
Great book! This is definately my favourite book by Jodi Picoult, I read the whole thing in one night.
A good and intriguing read. I really liked how the author gives insight into all the characters' situations and shows multiple sides of the story. I found that the twist/revelation around the end took away some of the book's impact; it was not realistic and the author's explanation for this unexpected revelation did not correspond with the rest of the novel.
"Nineteen Minutes" is a story that has changed the way I think now about friends and family. At the beginning I admired Peter and Josie because they helped each other in everything and they were always together. However as I kept reading the book I noticed that Peter felt bad at killing ten students in school, but he knew that they were treating him really bad and were always bothering him. I admired Josie and they way she tried to be strong until the end.
my favoritebook of the century
This was another amazing book by Jodi Picoult. It centers around a school shooting and the people who are affected or become involved in the tragedy. What makes this book remarkable is the way the author has structured the book so that it continually moves backwards and forwards through time to reveal only parts of the story at a time.
Very compelling, emotional. Every parent whose child has been or is being bullied should read this.
