Add a CommentFor a very quick overview of Regency and Victorian England, this is likely a decent book - Though I'm still trying to figure out why the author felt the need to smash both periods together into a single book. I felt that it was too simplified and at times the format of short sections was problematic. For instance, the food and diet chapter was disappointing since it barely talked about the actual common diet and focused more on things like mock turtle soup. The clothing section was also lackluster - As if the author threw things together simply to get onto another section that interested her more. All-in-all, though, there is some good information in it as long as you aren't seeking in-depth answers like I was.
